Carved surfboard with added elements of mosaics and mirrors
210 x 50 x 15cm
This design was originally just going to be painted but as the shape developed more, as well as my idea, I changed to finishing it with mirror and mosaics to better reflect” the idea and accentuate the 3 dimensionality of the piece.
The mirror for the viewer to see themselves in the broken reflection and the mosaics to show the contrasting natures, be that good vs evil, reason and emotion or instinct and intellect.
