Eric Zulu

Growing up in the deep rural areas of KwaZulu-Natal, I learned to be resourceful and creative out of necessity.

Without toys, I made my own, like wire vehicles and clay figures, which sparked my love for art. Seasonal changes dictated our play, with outdoor games in summer and indoor activities during other times.
A television briefly introduced me to the outside world, and Dragon Ball Z sparked my fascination with art.

Encouraged to pursue art as a career after my first painting, I began to nurture my creative passion.

My rural upbringing taught me resilience, creativity, and the value of self-expression.
