Irene R Oxley

Irene studied at the College of Art & Design in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK.

Her preferred medium is oil on canvas, using brush or pallet knife, as well as the use of acrylic and acrylic inks – that has led to the creation of the Rinki Collection, a quirky take on African animals, which has been developed into a merchandise range and is endorsed by the World Wild Life Fund.

Irene regularly curates exhibitions under the Artmark Africa identity and is also the current President of the South African Society of Artists (SASA).

Her paintings have been sold to private collections in America, South Africa, Russia, Italy, Germany, Holland and the UK.

An auction of one of her works at the Spier wine estate helped raise over R100,000 for the Save the Rhino Foundation and found a new home in Texas.
