While I have always been creative I have never seen myself as a painter.
Then about 5 years ago I started painting on rocks to hide around Cape Town as part of Cape Town Rocks. These rocks are to spread happiness, joy or just a smile.
My husband then challenged me by giving me my first canvas. This was a start of a great journey. A journey of no rules, and no paintbrush required. Pouring art is great messy fun. #hazlittart was a great way to de-stress and have fun with colour.
I then got selected for the SA Masters Hockey team and was challenged with finding funds which meant putting my paintings out into the world to raise funds for hockey tours. It was not easy to step out and show my work. We all need a little help sometimes to step out of our comfort zones.
