Life would be dull without adding any colour. Meet Sydney-Shem Lewis (aka Phoenix), a multi versatile artist from Cape town who stepped on the art scene at the age of six years old. Coming from humble beginnings, creating his own toys, doodling on any piece of scrap paper he could find, is where his art journey began.
His passion for art grew more and more during his primary and high school career, participating in art competitions which skyrocketed him to become top student within grade 11 right up to grade 12. Later that year, his artwork was exhibited at the Iziko art gallery in Cape town, where he received two certificates from the art director of the Iziko art gallery. The following year he set out to study fine art and graphic design at the College of Cape town. Within his first year he received an award for best in drawing.
Today, his efforts and passion for art has carried people throughout multiple events which required artwork done by himself. He also worked with multiple artists from Spain, Italy, Holland and Germany as well as working alongside well-known artist Prefix66
