{"id":667,"count":3,"description":"Rosetta Stander Fouch\u00e9 is fascinated by the transformative, cyclic power of nature. \r\nThrough bold paintings and collages of flowers she finds both solace and vitality as she captures the delicate dance and energetic essence of each plant.\r\n\r\nRosetta\u2019s works in both collage and paint. Her preferred paint medium is oil paint. \r\nRosetta gathers images and surrounds herself with all manner of living and dried foliage and creates each composition based on an original scene. \r\n\u201cWorks seem to take on a life of their own and I find the ever-evolving journey of creating a composition both frustrating and exciting\u201d she says. \r\nPaint is applied in a textured expressionistic way and surfaces range from thick and textured to translucent. Boldness of shape, vivid often luminous colour, and a layered technique reflect the slightly untamed nature of flowers. \r\nAt times Rosetta contrasts her looser brushwork with fine detail, thus exploring a particular bloom in more depth. \u201cI love the idea of the slight chaos of an English garden and I try to portray the plants in a less rigid way\u201d\r\nCollage is a new medium that Rosetta has been experimenting with. She paints plants and creates textures, then tears them out and reassembles them, experimenting with composition, texture shape and tone.\r\nRosetta claims: \u201cAlthough my work is representational, I try to portray the personality of plants, their resilience, energetic essence and the amazing ability to show the power of birth, death and rebirth. My respect for the natural world started at young age and my fascination has only grown stronger.\u201d","link":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/?product_cat=rosetta-stander-fouche","name":"Rosetta Stander Fouch\u00e9","slug":"rosetta-stander-fouche","taxonomy":"product_cat","parent":43,"meta":[],"menu_order":0,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/667","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/product_cat"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/43"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fproduct&product_cat=667"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
