{"id":684,"count":5,"description":"Victoria Machipisa (b. 1988, Harare, Zimbabwe) is a visual artist whose work explores the everyday struggles, resilience, and beauty of women, children, and families. A graduate of Chinhoyi University of Technology with a degree in Creative Art and Design, Victoria\u2019s artistic practice is deeply rooted in storytelling and community. Working primarily with acrylic on card, she creates framed works that blend layers of thick brushstrokes, pencil figures, and textured color fields to reveal both strength and vulnerability in her subjects.\r\n\r\nHer art draws inspiration from lived experience \u2014 as a mother, a woman, and an artist with a temporary disability \u2014 shaping a unique perspective on care, endurance, and the shared human condition. Victoria often collaborates with her two young children in a process of co-creation, transforming moments of family life into profound artistic narratives. Each piece becomes a dialogue between generations, exploring love, struggle, and the everyday acts of survival that define community life.\r\n\r\nThrough her work, Victoria seeks to highlight the quiet heroism of ordinary people, particularly women and children navigating challenging social realities. Her large-scale pieces encourage reflection on the fragility of life and the strength found in unity, motherhood, and compassion.\r\n\r\nVictoria has been invited to participate in two family artist residencies in Finland and Germany, continuing her exploration of daily life and human resilience. Her evolving body of work stands as both a personal and collective reflection on identity, belonging, and the power of art to connect and heal.","link":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/?product_cat=victoria-machipisa","name":"Victoria Machipisa","slug":"victoria-machipisa","taxonomy":"product_cat","parent":43,"meta":[],"menu_order":0,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/684","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/product_cat"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/43"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fproduct&product_cat=684"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
