{"id":722,"count":9,"description":"Angela Braun is a Cape Town born, self-taught visual artist whose expressive, \r\nnature-inspired works bring together vibrant colour, emotional depth, and timeless beauty. \r\nEach piece reflects her deep compassion and creative spirit, inviting collectors into a world where art becomes both a visual and emotional experience. \r\nMy journey with painting began over 20 years ago, quietly and purely for my own joy. \r\nLife, however, had other plans\u2014raising two sons and navigating personal challenges meant I rarely had the space to create. \r\nBut during the stillness of the 2020 lockdown, I picked up my brushes again, and that moment changed everything. Painting became my freedom, my sanctuary, and my therapy. In my studio, I step into a space where time disappears and I'm fully myself. \r\nIt's where I feel seen, grounded and truly alive. My work is inspired by nature\u2014\r\nforests, landscapes, flowers, light and energy\u2014as well as the quiet emotions that lie just beneath the surface of daily life. \r\nI work primarily in acrylics but also love the layered textures of mixed media and the softness of pastels. Some pieces are calm and contemplative; others are bold and joyfully chaotic. I want each painting to carry energy, to hold space for others the way it holds space for me. \r\nMy hope is that my art lovingly fills space, invites stillness, and helps people \r\nreconnect\u2014with beauty, with gratitude, and with themselves. \r\nWhether you're drawn to the peace of a forest, the colour of wild florals, or the raw emotion of abstract layers, I hope you find a moment in my art to pause, reflect, and simply be.","link":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/?product_cat=angela-braun","name":"Angela Braun","slug":"angela-braun","taxonomy":"product_cat","parent":43,"meta":[],"menu_order":0,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/722","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/product_cat"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/43"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fproduct&product_cat=722"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
