{"id":769,"count":6,"description":"I originally was a geologist but then gave it up and became an ornamental blacksmith.\r\n I practiced as a blacksmith for 35 years making ornamental gates, staircases, and balustrades. I also did a lot of work for the restoration of Cape Dutch buildings and for new Cape Dutch style buildings. \r\nMy hobby was model engineering. I made 3 Five-inch gauge locomotives which ran at our track in Plettenberg Bay. \r\nI then tried my hand at clocks starting by making clocks of other people\u2019s designs. I then decided I was capable of making clocks to my own design. \r\nI make all the working parts for my clocks. The frames I design myself and have them cut from stainless steel. Other than the spring and the screws which I buy, I make everything. It is a very time-consuming hobby and attention to detail and finishing takes a lot of time. Hence, they are not cheap. \r\nThey all keep very good time. I always tell people that a clock maker 250 years ago would understand everything about these clocks. The workings of the clocks are put into a modern design to produce a unique and stunning clock.\r\n","link":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/?product_cat=guy-luck","name":"Guy Luck","slug":"guy-luck","taxonomy":"product_cat","parent":43,"meta":[],"menu_order":0,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/769","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/product_cat"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/product_cat\/43"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kunyeartfoundation.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fproduct&product_cat=769"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
