“Sins of Divinity” is a visceral, three-part exploration of the dark transgressions committed by celestial beings those once considered pure and untouchable. This collection confronts the viewer with the uncomfortable truth: even the divine have fallen.
The left panel depicts Lucifer’s descent, not just as rebellion, but as a collapse into obsessive pride and corruption his wings thrash violently, trapped in the entropy of his own lust for dominion.
The central piece centers on Adam, the first man portrayed as caught between divine design and inherited sin. He is surrounded by chaos, consumed not only by the legacy of his own choice, but by the cosmic sins that preceded and manipulated him. He is shown with raw vulnerability and distorted strength, born into a world already soaked in divine wrongdoing.
The final panel unleashes the Watchers fallen angels who broke the heavenly covenant, seduced by the flesh of mortal women and even the beasts of the earth. They ride through flame and judgment, embodying the grotesque perversion of heavenly duty. What was meant to guard, instead corrupted.
The bold splashes of orange and chaotic movement reflect both divine wrath and uncontrolled desire, clashing with intricate, tortured detail. Using pointillism to shade each divine figure, Sakez invites us to sit with the weight of these ancient sins, reminding us that shame and sanctity have always coexisted.
This is not a condemnation of humanity, but a reflection on how divinity itself has shaped the chaos below.
