Techno Dreamer, an oil on canvas from 2020, measuring 60 x 92 cm, is a visual meditation on the cyclical nature of existence and the transient beauty of all forms, including technology and the human body. In this
work, archetypal and cybernetic imagery merge in a psychedelic tapestry that reflects an enduring inquiry into the paradoxical relationship between technology and spiritual life. Rather than opposing forces, the technological and the mythic are portrayed here as entangled expressions of human consciousness – both tools through which we attempt to map, augment, and comprehend our place within the cosmic cycle.
The painting invites the viewer to experience the cosmos as a perpetual rhythm of creation and dissolution. Communications, daydreams, music, and the stars are akin to flowers – each blossoming in its own time, part of an intricate cosmic dance. The serpent, an ancient symbol of transformation and eternal return, coils through the lattice of digital grids and organic motifs, its looping form suggesting the cyclical nature of existence across scales – from cellular life to planetary rhythms to the pulse of networks.
The recurring motifs of the snake and the skull serve as potent reminders of eternal renewal and impermanence. Even technology, with its intricate grids and structures, is presented as a temporary bloom, much like the physical forms that house our consciousness. Yet, beneath this transience, the enduring cosmic cycle prevails.
