Kim Watermeyer

I’ve been a creative my whole life, from finger painting as a small child to studying graphic design as an adult. Art has been with me, every step of the way.

I ran my own design and print company for 20 years and then sold it in 2008, traveled the world and was inspired by natural phenomena and all things “nature’.

I’ll never be an artist that hones into one, particular, recognisable style or theme, as I get bored very easily. What really excites me is the creative process, exploring and playing, experimenting, and finding new, and original ways to express myself.

I love colour and texture. I love big, bold and different. I love getting my hands sticky and dirty. I love pushing my creative boundaries. I love looking, seeing and watching: eyes wide open: always learning. I’m thoroughly enjoying this amazing journey, and to top it all, my work is selling and that, for me, is the super-duper, most awesome, fab-tastic cherry on the top.

My work hangs in private homes and offices throughout SA and around the world.
